Hi, my name is Jacob Hallenberger, and I am here with my brother, Josh. On September 15th, 2016, our lives changed forever as our father, Carl Hallenberger, passed away from his two year battle with oral cancer. He is survived by ourselves, and our mother, Kara. Both my brother and I are big sports fans and play collegiate soccer. I play at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and my brother plays at Clemson University in South Carolina. Our family and communities are so important to us and we understand the value of friendship, determination, and perseverance. These qualities have been established by our relationship with our father as he was charismatic, witty, reliable, and lit up any room he entered. This is how we want him to be remembered.

We are dedicated and passionate to raise awareness for this understudied disease. The Oral Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization who is advocacy oriented, placing importance on awareness, as well as donating money to further advance research in this area. All donations and proceeds go directly to this foundation.

In conclusion, if you feel moved to donate to our story, we open it with welcoming arms. However, we have this page to honor our father's name, the name of the many others who battle cancer, and everyone affected by this disease. Together, we can support each other, find a cure, and make a difference in our communities.

Feel free to reach out to us with any questions, or if you just want to talk. God bless y'all!
