TSgt. Eric Birch, GA ANG Memorial Fund
Eric was born on December 12, 1970 in Winfield, Illinois. He was a member of Eighth Day Church in Warner Robins. Eric was proudly serving our country as an active duty member of the Georgia Air National Guard in the 116th Air Control Wing, JSTARS. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom during his 16 year military career. In his spare time he enjoyed firearms, computers, and his 2011 Ford Mustang, “Mona”. Eric was very intelligent and had a lot of knowledge in the technology field. He was a devoted husband, father, son, uncle, and friend.
His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife, Carla Birch of Warner Robins; children, Mindy Scott (Justin) and Dylan Birch of Warner Robins; mother, Michele Turney (Charles) of Prescott, Arizona; father, Peter Birch (Sylvia) of Mobile, Alabama; sister, Lisa Porter (Greg) of Safety Harbor, Florida; in-laws, Garrison and RoseMary Payne of Byron; nieces, Autumn and Ashley Porter; and numerous other family and friends.
Having suffered from stage 4 throat cancer, in lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to The Oral Cancer Foundation.
